 Position Summary:
The Rock at Noonday is seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our non-profit organization, supporting Albuquerque’s homeless community. This role requires flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends as needed, ensuring smooth and efficient operations of our facility. The Operations Manager will manage resources effectively, support program activities, and accomplish tasks independently and proficiently to fulfill the organization's mission. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

 Responsibilities:

  • Facility Operations: Oversee and maintain facility operations to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and volunteers. Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for facility repairs, upgrades, and regular inspections.

  • Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers in collaboration with other staff, ensuring volunteer activities align with organizational goals. Cultivate a positive experience for volunteers, fostering engagement and retention.

  • Resource Management: Coordinate inventory and resource needs for daily operations, including food supplies, clothing donations, and hygiene items. Manage procurement, donations, and supply distribution to optimize resource usage.

  • Staff Coordination: Work closely with the Executive Director and program managers to ensure alignment of operations with program objectives. Supervise a small team, providing guidance, support, and evaluation to ensure high-quality service delivery.

  • Safety and Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain safety protocols in compliance with local regulations, non-profit standards, and organizational policies. Conduct regular safety training for staff and volunteers.

  • Community Partnerships: Support relationship-building efforts with local businesses, churches, and community organizations to enhance community support and resources for The Rock at Noonday's programs and initiatives.

  • Event Support: Assist with the coordination of special events, including setup, logistics, and on-site support for events like fundraisers, community outreach activities, and holiday meal services.

  • Reporting and Data Management: Maintain records of facility usage, inventory, and operational metrics. Prepare regular reports for the Executive Director to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a non-profit or social services organization. Experience working with vulnerable populations is highly valued.

  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and project management skills

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers

    • Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks proficiently

    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards for non-profits

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Job Summary:

The Part-Time Caseworker for Unhoused Individuals will play a vital role in providing compassionate, client-centered support to unhoused individuals. The caseworker will assist clients with accessing essential services, developing individualized case plans, and identifying resources to address their specific needs, such as housing, employment, mental health support, and substance abuse recovery. This position is ideal for someone passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the unhoused, working collaboratively with other team members, and fostering a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Intake and Assessment: Conduct intake interviews and assessments to understand clients’ needs, strengths, and barriers. Develop and maintain a caseload of clients, ensuring individualized attention and respect.

  • Case Management: Develop personalized action plans for clients, set achievable goals, and regularly follow up to track progress. Offer guidance and support to help clients navigate and access community resources.

  • Resource Connection: Connect clients with appropriate resources, including housing programs, food assistance, healthcare, mental health services, and employment support. Collaborate with local organizations to advocate for clients’ access to services.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, goals, and progress. Prepare case notes and reports to document client achievements and challenges, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards.

  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to immediate crises, providing support and solutions to clients in distress. Use de-escalation techniques and best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of all parties involved.

  • Collaboration and Referrals: Work closely with social service agencies, shelters, healthcare providers, and other community resources to provide a network of support. Make appropriate referrals for specialized services.

  • Outreach and Relationship Building: Build trusting relationships with clients, emphasizing respect and empathy. Conduct regular outreach to locate and engage unhoused individuals, especially those not currently receiving services.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

  • Experience working with unhoused populations or other vulnerable groups.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively.

  • Knowledge of available community resources, especially those related to housing, healthcare, and employment.

  • Skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.

  • Proficiency in documentation and case management software is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time role, with flexible scheduling to accommodate client needs.
